Image via WikipediaOne of the places I remember growing up in New Orleans is Lenfant's. A family restaurant in the Lakeview neighborhood where you could park in a lot in the back by the cemetery and order food either to go or eat in the car. A spot as teenagers we could hang out and watch "the submarine races". (If I have to explain that phrase then you need to ask a teenager.) Several local restaurants back then served food in cars in a back lot, somewhat like todays "Sonics" or "Arthur's" in "Happy Days" on TV. To honor memories of those days I have several t-shirt designs that sell across the country, mostly people displaced from New Orleans.
