New Orleans Baseball Pelicans

From 1877 the New Orleans Pelicans were a local sports team that joined the Southern Association in 1901. Pelican Stadium was located at Tulane and Carrollton Avenue's intersection by Mid City Lanes. The team disbanded at the end of the 1959 when I was 11 years old. My Uncle Joe would take me to games there.
